Jay was born and raised in Akron, Ohio. After spending the first 18 years of his life in "RubberTown USA," he moved to Grayson, Kentucky where he enrolled at Kentucky Christian University. In 2002 Jay graduated from Kentucky Christian University with a degree in Biblical Studies, Youth and Family Ministry, and a minor in preaching. Jay is currently working on a Master's of Arts degree in Pastoral Leadership at Cincinnati Christian University.

Jay has been serving in student ministry since 2000. He served two years as youth minister at Waverly Church of Christ in southern Ohio while attending Kentucky Christian University. He also ministered for four years at Memorial Church of Christ in Livonia, Michigan. Jay currently serves as our Jr./Sr. High minister and has been with us since February 2006.

Jay was married to Addy in October of 2002. He enjoys the company of his beautiful wife, coaching freshman boy's basketball, and old muscle cars. Jay desires for Worthington Christian Church to be a family that embraces the community in hopes that lost souls may come to know the truth about Jesus Christ.
