Life Group Study
Worthington Christian Church "Life Groups" consist of three men, three women or three couples who meet 2-4 times a month to develop a deeper relationship with Christ and His church.
As you reflect on the week ask each other these life questions and discuss how they affect your life, your understanding of your faith, or your personal relationship with God and what that means:
Body Check
- Know -- what have I learned about God this week?
- Love -- how have I received and given love this week?
- Give -- what have I given back to God/family/friends/strangers this week?
- Go -- how have I taken the message of God's love to others?
- Share -- am I taking the time to share with other members of God's family? How?

Listen to His Life-Giving Advice (#9)
A House That Doesn't Fall
June 28, 2009
Look up: Matthew 7:24-27
Memorize: Proverbs 3:33
- To what does Jesus compare those who listen to his message and obey?
- To what does he compare those who hear the message but do not practice it?
- Why does Jesus use this analogy?
Look In:
- Have you been the unstable house? Explain.
- In what way was your life flooded? Was it preventable?
- Have you been the secure house? Explain.
- What are some specific reasons your life found stability?
- Is it easier to build on the rock or the sand? What’s the difference?
- What specific plans are you making to keep your life solid in 5, 10 or 20 years?
Look Out:
- Do you have a relationship with someone whose house is crumbling? Can you help them restore the foundation? How?
- What are the warning signs of a house that’s unstable?
- How can you help others practice what Jesus teaches?
Prayer Focus:
Spend time praying for each other that we might build our lives on God’s truth while offering others a helping hand.
