Worthington Christian Village

Saturday, September 17 from 10:00 AM to Noon

The Worthington Christian Village is a senior living facility that is located directly behind the church on Highbluffs Blvd. We frequently offer service opportunities to assist and fellowship with their residents and for this service opportunity, participants will be flipping mattresses and cleaning windows for residents.

There is no need for volunteers to bring anything. The work is simple and straight forward, but there is some lifting involved (mattress flipping).

NOTE: All participants must be up-to-date on their COVID vaccination due to the WCV guidelines.

Habitat Build

Sunday, September 18 at 8:30, 9:45 and 11:11 AM

Want to make a HUGE difference in our community? Consider participating in our Habitat Wall Project!

On Sunday, September 18 we will be building walls that will be used to help build a home for needy families in central Ohio here at WCC. Participants will follow the Station Leader’s instructions on how to build a wall based on blue prints distributed by Habitat for Humanity. This project is a great option for just about anyone — families, couples, Bible study groups, seasoned fixer-uppers or any beginner-level DIYers — all you need to know how to do is swing a hammer!

Lumber and hammers will be provided by Habitat for Humanity and participants can bring work gloves if they wish. Kids aged 12 & up may also participate, so feel free to register as a family!

NOTE: Elementary age kids participating in Kids Worship will be painting a playhouse for the family receiving the house. Registration is NOT required for elementary-aged kids; they just need to show up for Kids Worship as normal.

REGISTRATION

Please register for your preferred service time and select the station you would like to work with. Each station is capped at six people each and has it’s own color (Red, Orange, Blue, Yellow, etc.). Feel free to register solo or as a family, couple or group if you wish! Every station will have its own Station Leader. Wall building will take place at the church.
