Women

She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.

Proverbs 31:25

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Worthington Christian Church is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and build meaningful friendships with one another.

We realize that every woman has different responsibilities in their day-to-day lives. Some work full- or part-time, some are busy stay-at-home moms, some are active retirees and some run their own businesses. With such a wide variety of schedules and responsibilities, the Women’s Ministry tries to offer Bible studies that are convenient for as many ladies as possible.

Women's Groups

Our studies are thought-provoking and pertinent to the issues, concerns and spiritual growth of new and seasoned Christian women.

Our Women’s Groups are generally offered three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring) with a break over Christmas and during the summer. However, we have done email devotionals during the summer months.

Details about our class topics and times (with links to sign-up), are listed below. If you have a specific question about a class, please contact the individual teaching that particular class.

Registration will be done online through Realm only. When you register, be sure to hit the final ‘REGISTER’ button to confirm your place in class. NOTE: Upon successful registration you will receive an email confirmation sent to your inbox.
Having trouble with Realm? If you have problems registering, or can’t create an account in Realm, please contact the church office (614-885-8389).

At the time of registration, you will have the option to pay for your study materials online. If you choose to do that, your materials will be provided to you on your first day of class. Otherwise you may bring payment on the first day of class.

We always accept new participants! If class has already begun and you would still like to join us, please contact the individual teacher to let them know to expect one more.
If you have any questions about our Bible Studies or the Women’s Ministry in general, please contact us!

Old Testament Women: Used By God

Leah, Eve, Rahab, and Abigail

Ladies, we're kicking off a four-week Bible study beginning Tuesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 25.

Leah, Eve, Rahab, and Abigail -- four women of the Old Testament with powerful stories and life lessons we can still learn from today. Join us as we examine these women's lives and choices in depth, gain insight from God’s Word, and explore the amazing ways God used them. Even though Jesus had not come into the world just yet, the promise of a Savior was firmly rooted in their hearts.

This four-week study will be available at three different times.

DATES & TIMES:
  • Tuesday evening at WCC, April 23-May 14, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM
  • Thursday morning at WCC, April 25-May 16, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM
  • Thursday evening via Zoom, April 25-May 16, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM

NOTE: There is no cost for this study. Childcare is available for the Thursday AM study only.

Genesis: The Beginning

Summer Email Devotional

This summer, the Women’s Ministry invites you to join our email devotional, "Genesis: The Beginning." To better understand the Bible, it is essential to return to the beginning, and Genesis literally means "Beginning." We will discover together that to understand all of the concepts in God’s Word, we must first understand the Book of Genesis.

You may recall that we quickly read through Genesis during the COVID lockdown. That study provided a good overview of the book but now is an excellent time for a deep dive into the book that sets the stage for everything. God always has something new to reveal to us!

We will email the daily devotional to everyone registered to participate from Monday, May 20, through Friday, September 6. Each devotional will consist of reading one chapter in Genesis OR watching a short video from ’The Bible Project’ and ’Spoken Gospel’ and should take about five minutes to complete. (Text of the videos will also be provided for those who prefer to read the devotional.) Your devotional will appear in your inbox every morning, Monday through Friday.

We pray many of you will connect with God each day through this email devotional, knowing many other women are also studying God’s Word with you!

DAY TRIP: At the end of our devotions in September, we plan to enrich our study with a day trip to the Creation Museum near Cincinnati. We are still in the early planning stages for our trip, but details will be announced soon!

Registration will begin on Monday, April 22

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Upon successful registration, you will receive an email confirmation in your inbox from notifications@onrealmmail.org. This email may be sorted into your Spam or Junk box, so please look for it. If you do not see it, you may not be signed up. Please try again or contact the church (614-885-8389).

Daily Audio Bible

Have you ever thought about reading through the Bible but felt it would be too overwhelming? No worries! The Daily Audio Bible app can make reading the Bible both enjoyable and rewarding!

Why not make a resolution for 2023 to listen to the Bible in chronological order? God’s character is revealed progressively through the story of the Bible and journeying through His word chronologically will help bring clarity to His character and provide a fuller comprehension of who God is.

Download the app for FREE from your app store (iTunes or Google Play) today! The app has great content for the whole family, but we recommend checking out the “Chronological” box. A mother/daughter team will guide you though the Word of God and will use a different translation each week.
