Thanksgiving Basket Donation Drive

Fill a basket for Thanksgiving!

We are collaborating with the Columbus Dream Center to provide Thanksgiving meals to those in need!

This year they will again be providing meals for struggling families with a Thanksgiving Basket (in addition to providing meals for the homeless). The Dream Center has requested our help in providing specific items to fill each basket.

This is a great opportunity for individuals, families and groups to “donate a basket!"

Donation Deadline: Wednesday, November 15

(Baskets will be delivered to the Dream Center on Saturday, Nov. 18.)

Items needed to fill a basket:

  • Frozen Turkey (this will be provided by WCC -- you don’t need to worry about this item)
  • Disposable turkey pan (1)
  • Canned turkey gravy (1)
  • Instant mashed potatoes (1)
  • Canned cranberry sauce (1)
  • Canned sweet potatoes (2)
  • Bag of marshmallows (1)
  • Cornbread mix (1)
  • Boxed stuffing mix (1)
  • Canned vegetables (2)
  • Mac ’n Cheese (2)
  • Cereal (1)

OPTIONAL:
  • Hot chocolate
  • Holiday-themed paper products

Registration will begin on Sunday, Oct. 15.

NOTE: If you are planning to donate a completely filled basket, the “basket” can be a large cardboard box or Dollar Store laundry basket.
