Women

She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.

Proverbs 31:25

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Worthington Christian Church is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and build meaningful friendships with one another.

We realize that every woman has different responsibilities in their day-to-day lives. Some work full- or part-time, some are busy stay-at-home moms, some are active retirees and some run their own businesses. With such a wide variety of schedules and responsibilities, the Women’s Ministry tries to offer Bible studies that are convenient for as many ladies as possible.

Women's Groups

Our studies are thought-provoking and pertinent to the issues, concerns and spiritual growth of new and seasoned Christian women.

Our Women’s Groups are generally offered three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring) with a break over Christmas and during the summer. However, we have done email devotionals during the summer months.

Details about our class topics and times (with links to sign-up), are listed below. If you have a specific question about a class, please contact the individual teaching that particular class.

Registration will be done online through Realm only. When you register, be sure to hit the final ‘REGISTER’ button to confirm your place in class. NOTE: Upon successful registration you will receive an email confirmation sent to your inbox.
Having trouble with Realm? If you have problems registering, or can’t create an account in Realm, please contact the church office (614-885-8389).

We always accept new participants! If class has already begun and you would still like to join us, please contact the individual teacher to let them know to expect one more.

The Ten Commandments

A Fresh Look!

DATE/TIME:
  • Every Tuesday, September 19 to October 24 at 7:00 PM (in-person)
  • Every Thursday, September 21 to October 26 at 9:30 AM (in-person)
  • Every Thursday, September 21 to October 26 at 7:00 PM (Zoom)

DESCRIPTION:
When we think of the Ten Commandments, we often think of legalism and rules. “Thou shall not this” and “Thou shall not that.” It’s easy to read the commandments and see them as nothing more than edicts cast in stone, but the truth is God gave us His commandments so that we could know Him. They are an invitation to know and love Him as well as to love those around us.

Ladies, join us for a six-week study beginning mid-September, where we will take a fresh look at the Ten Commandments and see them for what they truly are – a love letter written in stone that God wants to write in our hearts. Jesus said, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them.” Jesus’ death fulfilled the Law, but the Commandments are as relevant today as when God penned them.

This study will utilize short videos by Albert Tate to help open our eyes to the beauty and wisdom of the Ten Commandments followed by a time of discussion.

COST & CHILDCARE:
There is no cost for this study. Childcare will be available for the 9:30 AM study onlyAdvanced registration is required if you need childcare. Please contact Angie Bilbrey at 614-499-42841 via text.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

You will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration (please look for it). You are NOT signed up if you DO NOT get a confirmation email.
Please try again or contact the church (614-885-8389).

The Book of John

Daily Email Devotional

Join us as we prepare our heart for Christmas by reading through the Book of John!

The Book of John is the testimony of "the disciple whom Jesus loved" and it provides a detailed account of Christ's words and miracles.

Join us as we take a deep dive into this gospel beginning Monday, October 30. Daily email devotionals will be sent to your inbox (Monday through Friday). We will alternate between watching a three-minute video and reading one chapter of the Bible text every day. These devotionals will continue until December 22.

Daily Audio Bible

Have you ever thought about reading through the Bible but felt it would be too overwhelming? No worries! The Daily Audio Bible app can make reading the Bible both enjoyable and rewarding!

Why not make a resolution for 2023 to listen to the Bible in chronological order? God’s character is revealed progressively through the story of the Bible and journeying through His word chronologically will help bring clarity to His character and provide a fuller comprehension of who God is.

Download the app for FREE from your app store (iTunes or Google Play) today! The app has great content for the whole family, but we recommend checking out the “Chronological” box. A mother/daughter team will guide you though the Word of God and will use a different translation each week.
