Women

She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.

Proverbs 31:25

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Worthington Christian Church is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and build meaningful friendships with one another.

We realize that every woman has different responsibilities in their day-to-day lives. Some work full- or part-time, some are busy stay-at-home moms, some are active retirees and some run their own businesses. With such a wide variety of schedules and responsibilities, the Women’s Ministry tries to offer Bible studies that are convenient for as many ladies as possible.

Women's Groups

Our studies are thought-provoking and pertinent to the issues, concerns and spiritual growth of new and seasoned Christian women.

Our Women’s Groups are generally offered three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring) with a break over Christmas and during the summer. However, we have done email devotionals during the summer months.

Details about our class topics and times (with links to sign-up), are listed below. If you have a specific question about a class, please contact the individual teaching that particular class.

Registration will be done online through Realm only. When you register, be sure to hit the final ‘REGISTER’ button to confirm your place in class. NOTE: Upon successful registration you will receive an email confirmation sent to your inbox.
Having trouble with Realm? If you have problems registering, or can’t create an account in Realm, please contact the church office (614-885-8389).

At the time of registration, you will have the option to pay for your study materials online. If you choose to do that, your materials will be provided to you on your first day of class. Otherwise you may bring payment on the first day of class.

We always accept new participants! If class has already begun and you would still like to join us, please contact the individual teacher to let them know to expect one more.
If you have any questions about our Bible Studies or the Women’s Ministry in general, please contact us!

Christmas Email Devotionals

Ladies, join us for an email devotional this Advent season beginning Monday, December 1.

Throughout December, we will prepare our hearts for Christmas as we reflect on the four gifts God gave us through the coming of His Son, Jesus: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. These email devotionals will include Scriptures relating to each gift and short videos from “The Bible Project.”

This year, we will do our Christmas email devotions a little differently! Instead of sending out daily devotions, we will send out one email each Monday in December. Each weekly devotion will contain five days of devotions. The first week of December, we will explore Biblical Hope, the second week Peace, the third week Joy, and the fourth week Love. The weekly emails will begin on December 1.

We pray that many of you will want to connect with God each day, knowing there are other women who are also studying God’s Word with you!

Every Thought Captive

Ladies, are your thoughts leading you toward transformation or conformity? Are they building you up or tearing you down? Are they drawing you closer to God or pulling you away?

In our study, ’Every Thought Captive,’ you will explore a topic crucial to your spiritual growth: the battle for your mind.

In Romans 12:2, we read these words: “Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Just as molten glass is constantly shaped and molded by the thoughts we think, our lives are constantly shaped and molded by the thoughts we think.

This five-session journey will help you to actively and intentionally challenge your thoughts. This study isn’t about the power of positive thinking or about how you alone have the power to change your life. This study is about learning how God will transform your life as you learn to take every thought captive and submit them to the truth of His Word.

Join us and learn how God can transform our minds through the power of the Holy Spirit!
COST: There is no cost for this study, but you will receive a folder with helpful information.
CHILDCARE: Childcare will be provided for the Thursday 9:30 AM study only. However, advanced childcare registration is required by Wednesday, January 14. If you need childcare, don't hesitate to get in touch with Angie Bilbrey directly through text 614-499-4281.

Please register by January 14 so we can get all the materials ready for you!

NOTE: You will receive a confirmation email upon registration with details about our study. If you do not receive this email, you are not signed up.

The Bible Recap

Have you ever wanted to read through the Bible but thought, "I don’t know that much about the Bible. I've tried to read it before and gotten so lost!" Well, the Women’s Bible Team has found an excellent plan called The Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble.

This online chronological Bible study provides a concise, daily Bible reading plan along with a simple recap from Tara-Leigh Cobble that you can do independently on your own schedule. The recap will offer an in-depth explanation of what you read and how it fits into God’s story. Each day includes about 12 minutes of Bible reading and an 8-minute recap.

You can begin this program at any time, but why not make a resolution for 2026 to begin on January 1?
