Women

She is clothed with strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.

Proverbs 31:25

The purpose of the Women’s Ministry at Worthington Christian Church is to encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and build meaningful friendships with one another.

We realize that every woman has different responsibilities in their day-to-day lives. Some work full- or part-time, some are busy stay-at-home moms, some are active retirees and some run their own businesses. With such a wide variety of schedules and responsibilities, the Women’s Ministry tries to offer Bible studies that are convenient for as many ladies as possible.

Women's Groups

Our studies are thought-provoking and pertinent to the issues, concerns and spiritual growth of new and seasoned Christian women.

Our Women’s Groups are generally offered three times a year (Fall, Winter and Spring) with a break over Christmas and during the summer. However, we have done email devotionals during the summer months.

Details about our class topics and times (with links to sign-up), are listed below. If you have a specific question about a class, please contact the individual teaching that particular class.

Registration will be done online through Realm only. When you register, be sure to hit the final ‘REGISTER’ button to confirm your place in class. NOTE: Upon successful registration you will receive an email confirmation sent to your inbox.
Having trouble with Realm? If you have problems registering, or can’t create an account in Realm, please contact the church office (614-885-8389).

At the time of registration, you will have the option to pay for your study materials online. If you choose to do that, your materials will be provided to you on your first day of class. Otherwise you may bring payment on the first day of class.

We always accept new participants! If class has already begun and you would still like to join us, please contact the individual teacher to let them know to expect one more.
If you have any questions about our Bible Studies or the Women’s Ministry in general, please contact us!

Trustworthy

Overcoming our Greatest Struggles to Trust God

We are excited to announce our upcoming Fall Bible Study, ‘Trustworthy: Overcoming Our Greatest Struggles to Trust God’ by Lysa Terkeurst, beginning the last week of September. We will examine a few of Israel’s kings for six weeks and discuss how their struggles often mirror our own.

When difficult times come, or it seems God is deviating from the plan we had laid out for our lives, we’re much more likely to want to tame God rather than trust Him. As we examine the lives of these Old Testament kings, we will discuss what they did right and what they did wrong. When we learn from the mistakes of others, we are less likely to repeat those mistakes in our own lives. This study will teach us how trustworthy our God truly is!

NOTE: Zoom is only available on Tuesday evening. In-person study is available on Tuesday evening or Thursday morning. Childcare is only available on Thursday mornings. There is no cost for this study.

SCHEDULE

  • Tuesday PM (in person) -- September 24 to October 29 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Youth Center.

Daily Audio Bible

Have you ever thought about reading through the Bible but felt it would be too overwhelming? No worries! The Daily Audio Bible app can make reading the Bible both enjoyable and rewarding!

Why not make a resolution for 2023 to listen to the Bible in chronological order? God’s character is revealed progressively through the story of the Bible and journeying through His word chronologically will help bring clarity to His character and provide a fuller comprehension of who God is.

Download the app for FREE from your app store (iTunes or Google Play) today! The app has great content for the whole family, but we recommend checking out the “Chronological” box. A mother/daughter team will guide you though the Word of God and will use a different translation each week.

Contact Peggy Fenstermaker if you have any questions or run into any trouble!
