Hunger Bowl
Every year on Super Bowl Sunday, we partner with Lifeline Christian Mission to pack over 100,000 meals to send to hungry, poverty-stricken children. We call this church-wide event, ‘Hunger Bowl.’
Our Goal
Our goal is to pack over 100,000 meals in four separate one hour sessions in the Youth Center on Sunday, February 9. To do this we need 160 volunteers per hour on the morning of Super Bowl Sunday!

What to expect
The work is fairly simple and easy, making it a great service opportunity for Elementary-age children, teenagers and/or adults. For a basic idea of what a meal pack looks like, be sure to check out this video!
Meal packing times are 8:00, 9:00, 10:30, and 11:30 AM. Our most popular meal pack times are 9:00 and 10:30 AM, so if you want to participate, you must register early. Gloves and hairnets will be required and are provided.

Why do we do it?
Each meal packed will be shipped globally by Lifeline Christian Mission to children and families who are impacted by hunger and malnutrition. Our meals specifically go to poverty-stricken children in Haiti.

Get Registered
Registration runs from December 24 to February 7
Registration is divided into five time slots — 8:00, 9:00, 10:30, and 11:30 AM. Each time slot is divided into stations and each station needs a total of 16-volunteers each. Gloves and hairnets will be required (and provided).
When you register, you must first select the time slot you want, and then select which station you wish to join. There will be a drop down menu for each time slot that will allow you to choose which station you want. When a specific station becomes full, it will no longer be listed as an option under its specific time slot, so you will need to pick an alternate station.
If the station you would like to register for is no longer an option in the drop down menu it is because that station is full.
