Leader Resources

We all know the important role that Groups can play in our lives. They foster and encourage spiritual growth as they create community, but for any Group to be successful, the Group Leader needs support, encouragement and (of course) resources.

Leading isn't easy...

Serving as a Group Leader can be both rewarding and challenging. There is a lot of preparation, planning, time and energy that goes into any leadership role, but leading a group of Christians as they grow and develop spiritually is no small task. The subjects tend to be deep and the discussion thought-provoking. Hurts, fears, hang-ups and frustrations are often shared and a lot of time is spent in prayer (both public and private) and quiet contemplation.

As a Group Leader, you will find yourself both energized and exhausted, humbled and awed, challenged and encouraged... but the reward of fellowship and life-long friendship, of seeing how God uses each member of your group to uplift and support one another is a miracle unto itself. It is an experience that will change you.

We get it, and we want to do everything we can to support you. Our goal is to equip you with some of the resources you need to lead — study materials, information on discipleship and/or leadership training, help with Realm and information about RightNow Media.

As more resources become available, we will add that information here. If you have any questions, please contact Patti Remaklus or Austin Seevers.

Sermon Study Guides

Core52

Most of us want to know the Bible better, but few reach our goal, often because we’re too busy or we don’t know where to start. Core52 removes both barriers, offering a common-sense solution that fits into our busy lives. Respected Bible professor and teaching pastor Mark E. Moore developed this proven process from thirty-five years of helping people grow deeper in God’s Word.

Each week features a brief essay, memory verse, Bible story, trajectory verses, and practical ways to put what you’ve learned into practice. An optional “Overachiever Challenge” offers the chance to memorize the top 100 Bible verses by year’s end. If you’re looking to really grow spiritually in 2022, this is a great way to do it!

This simple approach allows you to become familiar with the big ideas of the Bible in less time and with less effort than other reading plans. In one year (for only about 15 minutes a day), you can master the core of the Bible—focusing on topics from God’s will to worry, happiness to holiness, and leadership to love. These fifty-two core passages are lenses through which you can read the rest of the Bible with clarity and confidence.

Our churchwide Bible study will run throughout 2022.

Study Material Check-out

  • Stop by the office during business hours and request permission to browse the cabinets. A staff member will unlock the doors for you.
  • Select the items you wish to borrow. Write your name, date and contact info on the form provided.
  • There is no time limit for how long you can keep the materials; however, we ask that you be mindful of the next person who may wish to borrow the materials and return them within a reasonable amount of time.
  • Some study topics are fairly popular and in demand. If the study materials you want has been checked out, we will contact the person with the materials to inquire how long they plan to keep them so you can adjust your study schedule accordingly.

Get Connected with Realm

What is Realm?

Realm is a cloud-based member website that ministers and staff use to manage the information of the church.

It is where members can register for events, take class attendance, manage our profiles, view the church director, make a contribution or tithe, post ideas, questions, prayer requests, etc. in our group(s), view and track our current contribution statements, view the church calendar… Realm is Worthington Christian Church online!

We encourage all members to create an account on Realm. If you are a Group Leader, you may find Realm to be a valuable resource for the communication and management of your group.

A Quick Guide to Getting Started with Realm

There are two ways to create an account with Realm:

  1. Follow the link in the invitation that was emailed to you.
  2. Go to Realm and create an account using the email address we have on file for you.

First and foremost, for anyone to create an account in Realm we must have your contact information on file. At minimum, we need your full name and email address. If we don't have that information on file, Realm will not permit you to create a new account.

So, if you find that you are unable to create an account, it is very likely that we don't have your contact information on file, or the information we have for you is wrong or out-of-date. To have your information added or updated, please contact the office (614-885-8389).

Create an Account

  1. Check your email account for a message from Realm (realm@worthingtoncc.org). You might have an invite waiting (and it may have been sorted into spam). If so, follow the instructions in that email.
  2. Go to the Realm log in page — under the blue ‘Sign In’ button is a light gray box that says, “Don’t have an account yet? Register now.” Click ‘Register now.’

From that point, there are three simple steps:

  • Follow the prompts on the page. Input your email address and create a password (then confirm your password). Click the box that says, “I’m not a robot” and then click the blue ‘Register’ button.
  • Check your email for instructions on how to activate your account. The email should arrive in your inbox within minutes. If you don't see it, check your spam folder.
  • Follow the instructions in the email and fill in the required fields to complete registration.

That’s it! You should now have an account on Realm. If you still have trouble, please contact the church office at 614-885-8389. Don't forget to update your profile!
