Wonderful Counselor

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6)
The name, "Wonderful Counselor," means "one who helps." Jesus HELPS us.
When the Wonderful Counselor counsels us (through God's word, prayer, a fellow follower of Jesus, our personal experiences or our heart of hearts), it will not be done in a way that is foreign to us or especially difficult to understand. It may take time to come to grips with the counsel, but we can trust that Jesus ("God with us") has our best interest at heart.
