All of us have struggled with worry and/or anxiety. In fact, worry, anxiety, nervousness, dread and fear are on the rise in our culture. What can we do to combat worry? The book of Philippians provides us with two important truths to keep at the forefront or our minds when worry arises:
1. We have a God who is willing to listen and able to help. Pray -- God will listen and He will answer in a way that is consistent with His will and compassionate toward us.
2. We have better things to think about. Paul avoided worry by focusing his thoughts on Jesus, Heaven and others. We can do the same.
